Critique

Miscellaneous spreads from my book. The layout was processed with the same consideration as the type— historical integrity vs contemporary audience. The page order & layout components chosen erred on the side of being more traditional in style (e.g., standard grid, full title page, half title page, copyright, table of contents, headers) & so in contrast the actual page layout & type treatment reinforced an emphasis back on the contemporary audience's needs. I wanted to consider unconventional choices first & then refine what needed to be reeled back into traditional design ideals.
